The Ohio School Counselor Association is proud to announce the 2018 Summer Academy being held on June 12, 2018 at Mount Vernon Nazarene University from 9:00AM-4:30PM (check in will begin at 8:30AM).
Summer Academy provides school counselors with an opportunity to engage in meaningful professional development during the summer. Session topics being offered this summer include:
- Trauma-Informed Care
- 3 breakout sessions including but not limited to:
-
- Coaching Boys into Men- a boys group curriculum for grades 6-12
- Comprehensive School Counseling Program
- Google Apps for Education & Chrome is my home
- 5 strategies to developing mental health models in schools to support students academically, socially, and emotionally

All participants will be included in a raffle at the end of Summer Academy. We will have school counselor merchandise, 1 attendee will win a FREE registration to All-Ohio Counselors Conference for this November & 1 will win a free ASCA-U Specialist Training!
The cost for the Summer Academy (including continental breakfast and lunch) is:
- $35 for OSCA Members
- $85 for Nonmembers (Price includes a one-year professional membership with OSCA!)
- Payments can be made online or by check/cash via mail or on-site. Purchase orders will NOT be accepted.
All attendees will recieve a CEU Clock Hour certificate to turn in to LPDCs
