OSCA Grants provide financial resources for school counselors who desire to implement counseling projects that support student success.  Proposals that articulate their goals through data, plan a mindful intervention to address a specific concern and have a clear method of measuring the impact upon children will be considered for the yearly awards.

Grants are available for up to $1000.

You must be a member of OSCA and log into your member account on the website in order to apply for a grant. Please note, if you are a graduate intern applying for a grant, you must get the approval of your cooperating counselor prior to submitting. In the event you leave your intern site prior to the completion of the grant, the cooperating counselor will assume responsibility of the grant.

The deadline to submit applications for consideration for the 2012-2013 school year is June 1, 2012. Applications may be submitted at any time of the year, but will only be considered for approval once.

Those programs chosen to receive funds will be notified in June of their selection. OSCA requires grant recipients to prepare a short written summary of the project when completed. In addition, recipients may be encouraged to present at the annual conference.

For more information, click here to visit the OSCA Grants & Awards page. Questions regarding the grant program can be directed to the Grants & Awards Chair at grantsawards@ohioschoolcounselor.org.
