Get Connected: A New Resource for Volunteer Engagement

ServeOhio recently launched an exciting new statewide volunteer engagement platform: Get Connected. Volunteers can search for opportunities that meet their skills, interests, and geographic location. The system has a few features that might be helpful for school counselors to assist students in finding service opportunities, including a searchable database that serves all counties in Ohio and a downloadable ‘volunteer transcript’ that lists every volunteer opportunity completed and the number of hours served. This system can be especially helpful for students hoping to obtain a community service diploma seal.
