This session is intended for first year school counselors and current graduate students. This session will focus on the reality of the first year of school counseling in the elementary school setting. Topics will include integrating into the school culture, building relationships, determining needs and establishing your program, non school counseling duties, simple ways to collect data, time management and organization. Attendees will be able to take away tools to use to help with the first year as a school counselor.

Pre-registration is required and will be open through the end of the day on April 11th. The workshop is free to OSCA members and $10 for non-members.

A Zoom meeting link will be emailed out to all registrants the day prior to the workshop.
