A Day in the Life of an Elementary School Counselor

Description: During this session, attendees will get an overview about the many duties and roles of an elementary school counselor. Learn about a variety of lessons and activities that can be used with students individually, in small groups, and in classroom lessons, as well as school-wide activities. Strategies for organizing your programs and activities, and for evaluating and reflecting on those programs and activities will also be presented. This session has been presented before, but each year looks a little different, so if anyone attended this presentation last year, you will get to hear about some new programs and ideas.

Presenter Information: Diana Arie is a K-5 school counselor at an elementary school in the Olentangy Local School District. She also currently serves on the OSCA Board of Directors as the Elementary Level Rep.

Additional Information: Pre-registration is required and will be open through the end of the day on September 3. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed out to all registrants the day before the workshop. A CE certificate will be emailed to those in attendance after the event.

The workshop is free to OSCA members and $10 for non-members. Please note that non-members who still have an outstanding balance will not be provided with a CE certificate.
