OSCA Board of Directors Nomination Registration

Selecting candidates to serve on the Ohio School Counselor Association’s Board of Directors is an important duty that belongs to the members of the association. Careful consideration of the responsibilities and commitments linked to serving school counselors in such a leadership capacity is encouraged of everyone who is contemplating seeking a position on the OSCA Board.  Furthermore, members are asked to encourage capable and energetic school counselors to consider serving on the Board.  Candidates for the following positions are being sought for the 2013 OSCA ballot. Candidates must be a professional member in good
standing, hold a valid school counselor license in the state of Ohio and meet any additional requirements stated below.

• President-Elect: 3-Year Term / Must have served on the board in an official capacity
• Treasurer: 2-Year Term
• Middle School Level Representative: 2-Year Term / Must be employed as a middle school level counselor
• Counselor Education Level Representative: 2-Year Term / Must be employed as a full-time counselor educator responsible for the training of pre-service school counselors
  
• 2 At-Large Representatives: 2-Year Term / Must be employed as a school counselor at any level in a K-12 institution

Per recent bylaw changes, voting will take place at an annual meeting of the membership and will take place on November 7, 2013 at the All Ohio Counselors Conference during the general session scheduled at 4:05PM. Candidate statements will be emailed to members prior to the meeting for consideration. Candidates are informed of the election results as soon as the results are available. OSCA nominations and elections will be conducted in accordance with the bylaws of the association. Applicants may not submit more than one nomination form for any or all offices.
